CIMIC is seeking a senior leader to drive the commercial and claims strategy across major projects in Australia and the Asia Pacific region. You will review claims, assess quantum, and guide recovery plans while collaborating with legal, commercial and technical teams.

With 15+ years in commercial management within construction, you will influence senior stakeholders and help improve profitability, cash flow and contract compliance across the project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Preferred degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Law or Construction Management.
• 15+ years' experience in commercial management, contract administration, claims or dispute resolution within construction or major projects.
• Experience preparing and managing complex construction claims.
• Strong understanding of contract law, commercial principles and project management practices.
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across legal, technical and commercial functions.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
• High levels of integrity, commercial acumen and attention to detail.
• Results-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

What you will bring

Preferred degree in one of the following: Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Law or Construction Management

15+ years' experience in commercial management, contract administration, claims or dispute resolution within construction, engineering or major projects.

Demonstrated experience preparing and managing complex construction claims.

Strong understanding of contract law, commercial principles and project management practices.

Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across legal, technical and commercial functions.

Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills.

High levels of integrity, commercial acumen and attention to detail.

Results-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
