Job summary

Beca HunterH2O in Canberra seeks an intermediate Management Consultant to help deliver business transformation and change management initiatives across water, defence, government, energy and other sectors.

You will work with senior leaders, build client relationships, and lead components of large change programmes in complex environments, with travel to client sites across Australia.

Qualifications

• An appropriate tertiary qualification in change management or related fields.
• Demonstrated proven ability and understanding of management consulting, business transformation and change management frameworks and processes and a desire to progress professionally in this field.
• Exceptional communication skills with an ability to build relationships both externally and internally.
• Travel to a variety of locations across Australia to work with our clients.
• A ‘can‑do’ attitude and someone who is able to ‘roll up their sleeves’ and be outcomes focused.

The Opportunity

As part of our Water team, the Business Transformation team enables organisations across water, defence, government, energy and other key sectors to solve complex business challenges and deliver lasting outcomes. Our team combines deep consulting capability with practical delivery expertise, supporting clients and our business through organisational transformation, operating model design, business improvement, digital transformation and change management initiatives. We work with Government agencies and critical infrastructure organisations to deliver complex transformation initiatives that improve services, capability and organisational performance. Our team is looking to embark on a journey of growth and has a growing pipeline of exciting project opportunities within our Water, Defence, and Infrastructure sectors in Canberra. As a result of our continued success in the business transformation, offering Change Management Consulting services and solutions to our clients, we are seeking a Management Consultant at the intermediate level with experience in business transformation, change management, communications, process improvement and delivery to join our dynamic and collaborative team. We will provide you with the opportunity to:

About You

You are curious, with a growth mind-set, comfortable to pivot and re-set in response to evolving business priorities. You’ll have experience supporting and leading the successful delivery of some key components of business transformation and change management programmes. To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to embrace challenges and navigate your way through ambiguity. You promote innovation, and lead through a continuous improvement lens. Your growing competence in change management is recognised with core capabilities as an excellent communicator, problem-solver and critical-thinker; and the ability to identify and remove barriers, enabling teams to fulfil goals and deliver results. As a key member of the team, you will take a lead role in supporting the implementation and adoption of large change programmes in complex environments and lead business improvement projects.

You will also be able to provide:

• An appropriate tertiary qualification in change management or related fields.
• An in‑depth understanding of change management principles and a desire to progress professionally in this field.
• A passion and capability in building new client stakeholder relationships and enhancing existing relationships.
• Exceptional communication skills with an ability to build relationships both externally and internally.

Along with possessing experience in change management, we want to hear from you if you possess the following:

• Demonstrated proven ability and understanding of management consulting, business transformation and change management frameworks and processes and a desire to progress professionally in this field.
• A ‘can‑do’ attitude and someone who is able to ‘roll up their sleeves’ and be outcomes focused.
• Travel to a variety of locations across Australia to work with our clients.
• A positive and tenacious attitude with an ability to make things happen and alignment with our company purpose to “Make Everyday Better”.

Given the nature of our client industry and projects, it is preferable that you hold a current Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) security clearance at Baseline level or higher for which you will require Australian citizenship.
