Job summary

March Talent Partners is seeking an experienced Stockperson for a livestock operation in Victoria’s Western District. You will lead a small stock team, manage 8,000 Merino ewes and 800 Angus cattle, and apply low-stress handling with your dogs, while maintaining AgriWebb records and coordinating health and grazing plans.

The role focuses on paddock work rather than office tasks, with housing on site and a work ute provided. Calving season involves extended hours and practical property duties.

Qualifications

• Hands-on sheep and cattle experience (min a couple of years).
• Own team of working dogs.
• Current driver’s license.
• Comfortable recording livestock data and using farm software.
• Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

• Run stock day to day and report health to Manager.
• Mustering with dogs using low-stress handling.
• Maintain animal health calendar and vaccination schedule.
• Keep AgriWebb records up to date; assist with grazing plans.
• Support seasonal tasks: mustering, marking, shearing, crutching, lambing, calving.
• Cover routine property duties: fencing, troughs, tractor work.
