Situated approximately 50km northeast of Dingo in Central Queensland, this 11,500-acre family‑owned cattle and cropping operation combines a successful Braford Stud, Brahman and Braford commercial breeding herd, backgrounding enterprise and an on‑farm registered 2,500 SCU feedlot. With Mackenzie River frontage, modern infrastructure and well‑maintained plant and equipment, the property has been steadily built into a productive and respected operation.

Working directly alongside the owner and existing team, this position would suit a mature, experienced livestock professional with strong cattle handling skills, sound judgement and a genuine work ethic. Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Conduct low‑stress mustering and cattle handling activities across breeding, backgrounding and feedlot operations using two‑wheel motorbikes and quads.
- Carry out yard work including drafting, processing, branding, marking, weighing and general livestock husbandry while maintaining high animal welfare standards.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery including loaders, tractors, feed‑out equipment and associated machinery used throughout the cattle and feedlot enterprise.
- Assist with feedlot operations including feeding out, livestock monitoring, pen maintenance and day‑to‑day management activities.
- Undertake fencing, water infrastructure maintenance, welding, workshop tasks and general property improvement projects as required.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in a senior livestock handling role with the confidence and ability to work cattle safely, efficiently and independently.
- Strong understanding and practical application of low‑stress stock handling principles and cattle behaviour.
- Proven reliability, accountability and a reputation for following through on commitments and maintaining high standards of work.
- Sound mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate machinery confidently and troubleshoot equipment issues using practical reasoning and initiative.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to contribute as part of a busy family‑owned agricultural business.
