Job summary

Wellways Australia Limited in Mildura invites applications for a Lived Experience Lead role that centers lived experience leadership, supervision, and practice development for Peer Workers within the Mental Health and Wellbeing Local.

You will guide the broader team to embed lived experience in service delivery, mentor peers, and advocate for recovery‑oriented care across services with the Local leadership team.

Qualifications

• Personal lived experience of mental health/AOD challenges and recovery
• Extensive experience in mental health and/or AOD sector with consumer perspective
• Completion of or active enrolment in Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or equivalent
• Formal training in Intentional Peer Support (IPS) or demonstrated working knowledge of IPS
• Satisfactory National Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to undertake NDIS orientation

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in strengthening peer practice and embedding lived experience in service delivery and improvement
• Provide lived experience leadership, supervision and practice development to Peer Workers
• Support integration of lived experience perspectives into service planning and decision-making
