Job summary

Wellways Australia is seeking a Lived Experience Lead in Mildura to drive lived experience leadership and peer development across our Mental Health and Wellbeing Local. You will supervise Peer Workers, shape practice development, and advocate for consumer perspectives in service delivery.

You will mentor teams to integrate recovery-oriented approaches, collaborate with local leadership, and guide planning and evaluation to improve outcomes for participants.

Qualifications

• Personal lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery, with capacity to lead.
• Extensive experience in mental health and/or AOD sectors in a peer role.
• Completion or active enrolment in Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Peer Workers to grow their capability and impact.
• Strengthen lived experience-informed practice across the service.
• Influence service planning and decision-making with consumer perspectives.
• Support and guide the team in embedding lived experience values.
