Job summary

The NSW Health Adult Survivors Program is seeking a Senior Lived Experience Worker to lead trauma-informed, survivor-centred initiatives across NSLHD's PARVAN and Mental Health services. Drawing on personal experience, you will shape training, contribute to service design and drive quality improvement with a focus on equity of access for adult survivor/stakeholders.

Based at the RNS Community Health Centre, this part-time role (23 hours per week) offers a permanent position and hourly

Qualifications

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: demonstrated experience in peer or lived experience roles with 2+ years in Violence, Abuse and Neglect, Mental Health, AOD or related sector; trained in peer work or willing to undertake training.
Lived experience as a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, with ability to use this experience to support victim-survivors and inform program design.
Experience in leadership, mentoring or supervision within a lived experience or peer framework; commitment to professional development and supervision.

Responsibilities

Lead lived experience initiatives within the NSW Health Adult Survivors Program (ASP) in NSLHD to inform service design, delivery and evaluation.
Collaborate with PARVAN, Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol, Aboriginal Health Services, and community stakeholders to co-design and deliver capability-building initiatives.
Develop empathetic relationships to support healing and recovery for victim-survivors accessing ASP services and contribute to group program design and delivery.
