Job summary

Global Blockchain Project in Sydney is seeking a seasoned Linux systems engineer to design, build, and maintain a highly reliable infra supporting blockchain initiatives for a leading trading firm. You will own Linux across bare-metal and cloud, optimize for low-latency and high availability of validators and RPC nodes.

You will implement robust monitoring with Prometheus-style observability, secure architecture, and automation with Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and Salt.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Linux systems engineering, kernel-level understanding.
• Experience building mission-critical infrastructure in latency-sensitive or trading environments.
• Strong background in container orchestration and automation (Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Salt).
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals for bare-metal and cloud platforms.
• Robust monitoring/observability skills and alerting.
• Proficiency in Bash and at least one programming language (Python, Golang, or Rust).
• Ability to reason about security and reliability at scale.
• Proven track record of distributed systems in production.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Linux-based infrastructure for blockchain initiatives.
• Engineer validator environments and distributed systems for low latency.
• Own Linux systems across bare-metal and cloud deployments for validators and RPC nodes.
• Develop monitoring and alerting tailored for high-availability blockchain infra.
• Harden security including key management and intrusion detection.
• Collaborate with software engineers and researchers on distributed systems and cryptography.
• Support a globally distributed team with near-zero downtime.
