Job summary

Auto & General Australia is seeking a Lifestyle Pricing Specialist to support end-to-end pricing of lifestyle insurance products (Motorcycle, Pet, Travel) through advanced data analytics, modelling and implementation. You will work on reporting, analysis and statistical modelling while mentoring the team and ensuring pricing decisions are data-driven and collaborative.

The role requires deep data expertise, ability to validate data sources, and collaboration with IT and vendors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years general insurance industry experience.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Programming knowledge: BigQuery, SAS, SQL, R, Python or similar.
• Experience with pricing software: Emblem, Radar, Earnix.
• Degree qualified in mathematics, actuarial studies or similar.

Responsibilities

• Report, analyze and model pricing using data analytics.
• Understand data sources, data limitations, and manage large datasets.
• Validate external data assets and coordinate with data vendors.
• Develop and maintain data assets for pricing.
• Analyse and interpret data from multiple sources to resolve issues and draw insights.
• Implement complex rating changes and quantify impact on portfolio.
• Test and monitor live pricing changes and IT changes.
• Communicate findings to senior management.
