Ensure Recruitment is seeking an experienced Liability Underwriter in Sydney to take over an established General & Products Liability portfolio and oversee risk selection, terms, and portfolio profitability.

You will focus on strong broker relationships, independent decision making, and a mix of renewals and new business, with direct access to senior management and a supportive underwriting team.

Qualifications

• Experience in Commercial Liability underwriting.
• Strong eye for risk and ability to price fairly.
• Build trust with brokers and discuss terms openly.
• Hands-on approach to managing a profitable portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Take over an established General & Products Liability portfolio.
• Review risks and set terms to keep business on the books.
• Use judgement to make decisions and protect profitability.
• Balance renewals with new business while maintaining service.
