Overview:

LivePerson is looking for a dynamic, hands-on technology counsel capable of supporting commercial contracting as well as privacy and AI Compliance. This is a permanent part-time position, 0.6 FTE, flexible work arrangement. Your primary focus will be to support the Sales and Partnership teams across our LivePerson and Engage businesses to negotiate commercial agreements with enterprise customers and partners.

You will:

  • Negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including master services agreements, master partnership agreements, and vendor agreements.
  • Assist the Sales and Partnership teams with new opportunities, RFPs, and deal structuring.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to enable business growth while managing legal and operational risk.

Employment and HR Legal Support

  • Partner with the People team to advise on employment-related issues across the APAC region.
  • Provide support on employment documentation, policies, and regional employee relations.

Corporate Governance & Compliance

  • Support ongoing corporate governance and entity management across the APAC subsidiaries, working with external counsel and vendors as needed.

General Legal Affairs

  • Act as the go-to legal advisor for all legal matters within the APAC region.
  • Liaise with global legal and other colleagues to ensure consistency and alignment.
  • Manage relationships and work with external counsel and vendors where needed.

You have:

  • 5-7 years’ experience working as legal counsel with SaaS, data privacy, or AI or similar role in a Global Technology Company.
  • Experience with SaaS sales and commercial contracts and licensing
  • Experience with data privacy, AI compliance, and data mapping
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, especially within the SaaS industry.
  • Familiarity with employment law, data privacy law, and/or corporate governance matters preferred.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work highly independently, manage multiple stakeholders, and handle competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of regulations and best practices impacting data governance, data management, and artificial intelligence.
