Work that matters

An exciting opportunity to contribute to placements as a supervisor has become available, working at Ronald McDonald House in North Adelaide. The successful applicant will supervise Master of Psychology (Clinical, Health or Organisational) students on placement, as the field supervisor (working in collaboration with a university supervisor for the student).

The successful applicant will provide clinical oversight, assessment, and support, including running individual and group-supervision sessions, for students undertaking a placement as part of the Master of Psychology (Clinical, Health and Organisational) programs at Adelaide University. This role involves working within the team at Ronald McDonald House, and with university staff responsible for Masters training, to develop and deliver the highest quality placement experience to best prepare the next generation of psychologists.

The successful applicant will report to Professor Anna Chur-Hansen, Program Director, School of Psychology.

Experience

To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:

  • Registration as a Psychologist in Australia, with Endorsement in Clinical or Educational and Developmental or Health Psychology, or the ability and willingness to gain Endorsement.
  • Board Approved Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervision of students on placement.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children and their families, and ideally, with children living with serious illness and/or injury.
  • Demonstrated ability in working with people from a range of different cultural backgrounds.
