Job summary

UNSW Rural delivers our full 6-year undergraduate medical program at principal teaching campuses in Port Macquarie and Wagga Wagga, with students across rural campuses.

The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (EF) Discipline Lead General Practice, Rural will focus on high-quality teaching and coordination of rural medical education, building strong links with Local Health District, hospitals, and General Practice networks.

Qualifications

• A BMedMD, MBBS (or equivalent medical degree), and Fellowship of a Specialist Medical College (including but not limited to ACEM, ACRRM, RACP, RACGP, RANZCOG, RACS), and currency of medical registration in New South Wales.
• Evidence and maintenance of professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge, and professional accreditation requirements.
• Lead and continuously enhance the local delivery of the curriculum for the discipline, including the Year 4 GPLP and GPS, in collaboration with the Director of Medical Education, Director of Rural Generalism, and rural, school and faculty colleagues.
• Demonstrated experience in supervising and coordinating student assessment and examinations including using educational technologies and online delivery methods.
