Job summary

Oxford University Press in Melbourne seeks a Senior Learning Designer to lead research, commissioning and development of innovative Primary Mathematics products. You will align with business strategy to support sales and growth, and leverage AI to improve efficiency and quality.

The role requires deep expertise in learning design, publishing and the Australian education market, with a strong ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• Degree/postgraduate qualification in Primary Education or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience in learning design with emphasis on digital learning solutions that address customer needs and improve outcomes.
• Experience in educational publishing or related field, including AI integration.
• Knowledge of the Australian education market and use of digital technologies to enhance product design.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent project management and organisational skills with ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Qualification in Publishing and Editing and/or Learning Design.

Responsibilities

• Research, commission and develop educational products and services (print and digital) for the Primary Mathematics portfolio across Years F–6.
• Contribute to strategic direction of the Primary Education Product team, leveraging AI to improve efficiency, productivity and quality.
• Engage with the education market through classroom observations, trials, conferences and webinars.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders for product promotion.
• Collaborate with Product and Data coordinators to ensure efficient publishing administration.
