Why Your Role Matters

Working with the LMS Program leadership team and reporting to the Learning Design Director, you will influence university-wide solutions, guide initiatives from concept and pilot through to operation, and lead through collaboration, service orientation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities Summary

  • Build strong, influential relationships with academic and professional stakeholders through consultation, advice and change management, supporting innovative teaching strategies and curriculum renewal.
  • Research the latest pedagogical innovations and lead the systematic evaluation and trial of emerging educational design approaches and learning technologies.
  • Manage and transition LMS initiatives in an agile environment from concept and pilot through to fully operational solutions, with agreed deliverables, governance and timeframes.
  • Act as a delegated deputy project lead where required, lead a small team or project workstream, and coordinate delivery across the LMS transformation lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the Innovation Pillar of UNSW's Progress for All Strategy, supporting the development, implementation and operation of services, systems and protocols that advance teaching and learning.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, recommendations and decision material in line with governance protocols for business-as-usual and LMS strategic initiatives.
  • Interpret requirements and provide leadership, strategic advice and solution-focused actions for technology-enabled learning and teaching practices across UNSW.
  • Maintain current and emerging knowledge of digital assessment platforms and pedagogical trends, translating that knowledge into practice improvement and professional development.
  • Provide responsive, student-centred support to students, Faculties, Schools and central units within agreed service expectations, contributing to a culture of professionalism, accountability and continuous service improvement.
