Job summary

Parks Victoria is offering a senior leadership position, Manager of Maritime and Waterways Operations, to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate high-quality operational services across the Maritime and Waterways Directorate in Victoria.

Reporting to the Director Maritime and Waterways, the role shapes the directorate's strategic direction, overseeing planning, resource coordination, asset delivery, conservation programs, community engagement and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience in public land, maritime, environmental, infrastructure or natural resource management will be highly regarded.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership support to the Director Maritime and Waterways in the overall management of the directorate, ensuring the highest standards of performance, accountability, collaboration, ethics and integrity are achieved.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team to provide efficient and effective directorate wide functions that support place-based management of parks and reserves and delivery of organisational priorities
• Build, maintain and leverage strategic relationships to ensure that Parks Victoria is a trusted and valued partner.
• Manage the allocation of resources, budgets, business and project planning and reporting and effectively manage risk in meeting legislative, process and compliance requirements.
