Job summary

Saunders Havill Group in Brisbane is seeking an accomplished Landscape Architect to lead multidisciplinary teams, shape strategy and deliver projects from concept to construction.

You will mentor designers, manage client relationships, and guide complex commissions while influencing the practice's quality, direction and growth through a hands-on leadership style and deep design expertise.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience leading landscape projects and teams.
• Strong portfolio in land development, public realm, infrastructure or civic projects.
• Advanced design and documentation capabilities across tender and construction-phase services.
• Solid commercial judgement across scope, fees, program, resourcing and risk.
• Confident leadership, client management and communication skills.
• Registered Landscape Architect with AILA (or eligibility to register).
• Australian working rights and a driver licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and teams from briefing and master planning through concept, documentation, tender and construction.
• Set a strong design direction and guide creative, context-responsive and technically resolved outcomes.
• Act as a trusted client contact, providing clear, commercially informed advice.
• Manage scope, program, fees, variations, risk and financial performance.
• Mentor Landscape Architects and graduates through guidance, design critique and feedback.
• Prepare proposals, tenders and presentations that win work, and help drive the growth of the landscape team.
• Grow client base and invigorate design outcomes for the team.

This is an influential role for an accomplished Landscape Architect who wants the autonomy to lead, while staying close to the design and delivery they love.
