Job summary

SONDA Recruitment in Melbourne's CBD is seeking an experienced Landscape Architect to design and document urban development projects and lead portions of mid-sized schemes under direction.

You will work from the studio with occasional work from home, reporting to team leads and contributing to production, contracts, and site tasks as they arise. A degree in landscape architecture with strong CAD/Adobe skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified landscape architect with mid-career experience.
• Strong design and documentation skills and ability to support production.
• Experience running small to medium projects end to end with direction.
• Office-based role with potential for site work later.

Responsibilities

• Design and document projects for urban development, parks, streetscapes.

Who?

A mid-sized, possibly large landscape architecture practice located in Melbourne's CBD; a team of 20 working across urban development. Parks, streetscapes, residential subdivisions, playgrounds, waterways, wetlands, mixed-use.

The culture is close-knit and collaborative, it's multi-disciplinary.

You

You're a landscape architect, a mid-career practitioner, probably not yet registered.

Design and documentation is your wheelhouse. You enjoy supporting production although this won't be your forever.

You can also (perhaps, newly) run small to medium projects end to end with appropriate direction.

You may or may not have dipped your toe into contract admin and site work. Here, this will follow, but not immediately. This is more of an office based role for a little while yet..

You're degree-qualified, fluent in AutoCAD, love the Adobe suite, and you bring craft and ownership to your work. You care about quality.

Above all, you enjoy great conversation. You're curious. You're interested and interesting.

Practicalities

The position is office-based, reports to one of two Team Leads, and sits within a team that is invested in developing its people and its practice.

We work from the studio, occasionally from home.

Your take home salary is likely to be between $85k and $105k p/a plus Super.
