Job summary

Firmus seeks a Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer to own and operate the Kubernetes estate powering AI FactoryOS and related services. You will manage the platform lifecycle, implement fleet-scale automation, and ensure stable, secure multi-tenant operation across sites.

You will drive incident response, design runbooks, and contribute to platform improvements with strong IaC and GitOps practices, including GPU integration and the NVIDIA Operator.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall engineering experience with production Kubernetes platforms.
• Deep Kubernetes control plane knowledge: etcd, API server, controllers, schedulers.
• Experience building fleet-scale Kubernetes platforms and multi-tenant patterns.
• Proven incident response and runbook authoring capabilities.
• Strong automation, IaC and CI/CD skills with Go, Python or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Operate the multi-tenant Kubernetes platform across the fleet with reliability and upgrades.
• Develop operational tooling and automation for fleet-scale management.
• Manage cluster lifecycle: provisioning, patching, upgrades, decommissioning.
• Maintain control planes, etcd state, certificates, and upgrade safety.
• Oversee GPU integration layer and device plugins in Kubernetes environments.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews; own runbooks.
• Collaborate with AI Infrastructure to translate findings into fixes.
