The role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Knowledge Lawyer (Senior Associate) to join our Legal Operations & Knowledge team on a permanent part-time basis (4 days per week). This role can be based in any of our Australian offices, with Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane preferred.

Reporting to the Head of Knowledge, you will play an important role in supporting the development and delivery of the firm's knowledge strategy across Australia. Working closely with partners, lawyers and business services teams, you will help ensure our people have access to high-quality knowledge resources, training and innovative legal technology solutions.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of legal expertise, knowledge management and innovation. You will contribute to the development of knowledge assets, precedents and practical guidance, support training initiatives, and assist with the adoption of emerging technologies, including GenAI solutions.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining knowledge assets, precedents and practical resources
• Supporting knowledge management initiatives across the firm
• Designing and delivering training programmes and knowledge-sharing activities
• Assisting with the implementation and adoption of legal technology and GenAI solutions
• Collaborating with lawyers and business services teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Supporting best practice and innovation across the firm's legal teams

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Several years' post-admission experience
• Experience gained within a law firm environment, ideally a large commercial or international law firm
• Broad commercial legal experience
• Strong drafting, research and analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail
• Experience delivering CLE (Continuing Legal Education), training programmes or other knowledge-sharing initiatives
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and collaboration skills
• An interest in knowledge management, legal technology and innovation
• Experience in precedent drafting and development is desirable
• Experience with document automation or legal technology solutions is desirable
