Job summary

Synechron in Melbourne seeks a Senior Java Integration Engineer to design and build scalable Java-based integration solutions and microservices. You will drive workflow orchestration using Temporal or similar platforms and implement complex business processes across REST and messaging integrations.

The role requires hands-on experience with distributed systems, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD pipelines. Strong collaboration with architects and agile teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Experience with Temporal or similar workflow orchestration tools.
• Design and implement distributed systems and microservices.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging systems.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

We are looking for a Senior Java Integration Engineer with strong expertise in building distributed systems, workflow orchestration, and enterprise integrations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing Java-based microservices and implementing complex business workflows using Temporal or similar workflow orchestration platforms such as Camunda, Netflix Conductor, Zeebe, Orkes Conductor, Apache Airflow, or AWS Step Functions.
