Job summary

LTM Australia is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop and support enterprise integration services for a major Australian insurer. You will build secure RESTful APIs and scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and modern frameworks, integrating policy, claims, billing and customer systems with third-party vendors and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering integration solutions in large enterprises.
• Knowledge of API lifecycle management and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with cloud-native and event-driven architectures.
• Strong software engineering principles including SOLID and DDD.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
• Insurance or financial services sector experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise grade Java applications and integration services
• Build secure RESTful APIs supporting policy, claims, billing and customer management platforms
• Deliver scalable microservices using Spring Boot and modern Java frameworks
• Integrate internal insurance systems with third-party vendors, digital channels and enterprise platforms
• Participate in technical design workshops and contribute to solution architecture
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, performance and reliability standards
• Produce clean, maintainable and well-tested code following engineering best practices
• Support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments and production releases
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing platform support and continuous improvement
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering standards across the team
