Job summary

Adactin is seeking a Senior Java Integration Engineer to design, build, and support scalable API-driven solutions in the healthcare space. The role focuses on secure, high-performing integrations across systems, with emphasis on HL7 FHIR, privacy, and audit standards.

You will own RESTful API development in Java, drive DevSecOps practices, and contribute to API governance while leveraging cloud environments and containerisation. This long-term contract role offers growth and impact.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and REST API development.
• Proven experience with HL7 FHIR and healthcare applications.
• Experience in API testing (REST, performance, unit testing).
• Knowledge of OAuth and API security frameworks.
• Experience with containerisation (Docker) and deployment processes.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of DevOps/GitOps practices.
• Experience working in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong understanding of privacy, audit, and logging requirements in healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java-based frameworks.
• Implement and manage HL7 FHIR-based integrations across healthcare systems.
• Ensure high-quality code through unit, integration, and performance testing.
• Develop secure APIs using OAuth and modern authentication mechanisms.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
• Work with containerisation technologies and manage end-to-end deployment lifecycle.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement DevOps/GitOps practices.
• Ensure compliance with privacy, audit, and logging standards in healthcare environments.
• Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments.
• Support data integration, transformation, and mapping across systems.
