Job summary

Ventia is seeking a Project Director to lead the ITS and Control Systems package for the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) project in South Australia. You will be accountable for safe, compliant delivery, strategic leadership, and delivering contractual commitments within a large-scale infrastructure program.

The role requires experience in complex transport technology projects, strong commercial acumen, and capability to manage multidisciplinary teams across design, testing and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of ITS and control systems in infrastructure projects.
• Proven end-to-end delivery of large-scale technical construction projects.
• Strong commercial and financial management experience.
• Experience in safety-critical infrastructure environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement at executive level.
• Leadership of multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across the delivery of the T2D ITS and Control Systems project, ensuring safety, quality and contractual obligations are met.
• Lead the commercial and financial performance of the project, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, variations, claims and commercial risk management.
• Oversee end-to-end design, testing, commissioning and delivery program, ensuring effective coordination and project outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including the T2D Alliance and government bodies.
• Establish and maintain project governance, reporting, risk management and financial controls.
• Lead, develop and retain a high-performing multidisciplinary team with a continuous learning culture.
• Drive continuous improvement and safety/compliance across the program.
