Job summary

Western Power seeks a Principal Information Technology Architect to lead senior-level IT architecture across its technology landscape in Perth. The role focuses on shaping robust, secure, scalable solutions aligned with technology strategy and business priorities.

You will guide architecture across applications, integration, data, and platforms, driving cloud-enabled designs and cohesive end-to-end solutions in on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Principal, Lead, or Senior IT Architect designing solutions across infrastructure, cloud, applications, integration, data and platforms.
• Strong understanding of modern IT architectures, including API-led integration and data platforms.
• Cloud fluent and able to design cloud-enabled solutions with governance and security.
• Proven ability to lead solution design and guide delivery teams through complex initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior architecture leadership across IT domains, formulating roadmaps and programs.
• Lead design of IT solutions meeting business and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with Cloud, Infrastructure, Security, and Control Systems Architects for end-to-end coherence.
• Ensure IT solutions leverage cloud capabilities while respecting constraints and security.
• Define and maintain IT reference architectures, patterns, and standards.
• Act as design authority reviewing designs and guiding delivery teams.
• Develop technology roadmaps and input sequencing and risk.
• Participate in architecture governance forums and reviews.
