Job summary

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent significant skills, knowledge and experience.
• Significant experience developing complex, scalable, secure, accessible and high-performing applications across mobile platforms and devices.
• Highly advanced iOS development skills, ideally demonstrated through public-facing applications written in Swift, with deep knowledge of modern frameworks and tools.
• Extensive experience with automated testing, including unit, integration and end-to-end testing, and a strong focus on quality delivery.
• Extensive mobile release experience, including CI/CD, automation pipelines, production monitoring and post-release stakeholder engagement.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, with experience guiding and mentoring across engineering teams.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to build productive relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, with experience coordinating multi-person delivery and managing dependencies.

Responsibilities

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join ABC Digital Product as a Senior iOS Engineer and help shape the mobile applications Australians use to access ABC content.

Working under the broad direction of the Mobile Lead, you'll combine highly advanced iOS development skills with technical leadership across major product features. You'll help define the technical roadmap, guide design and delivery and create scalable, secure, accessible and high-performing mobile experiences.

You'll also tackle complex production challenges, contribute to engineering standards and support other engineers through technical guidance and mentoring.
