Job summary

Pair People Pty Limited in Sydney is seeking a Senior iOS Developer to join a fast-growing fintech mobile team. You’ll own features from concept through release, delivering a high-quality iOS experience for thousands of paying customers.

Work fully in-office in Sydney CBD, collaborating closely with product, design and other engineers, and growing the iOS codebase with Swift and SwiftUI, automated tests, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and build new features in the iOS app using Swift and SwiftUI.

• Provide thoughtful code reviews and raise coding standards.
• Contribute to the Android app over time (learn if needed).

Job description

We're working with an established Sydney fintech on the hunt for a Senior iOS Developer to join their growing mobile team. This is a profitable, product-led business with thousands of paying customers who genuinely rely on the product every day - and they're investing in mobile for the long term.

They've recently brought a Senior Android Engineer into the Sydney team and are now looking for a Senior iOS Developer to build alongside them. You'll be a key part of a small, sharp mobile team, taking features from architecture through to release and owning quality end to end.

What you'll be doing

• Designing and building new features across the iOS app using Swift and SwiftUI
• Taking ownership of functionality from concept through to production release and beyond
• Collaborating closely with product, design and other engineers to deliver a seamless experience
• Writing clean, well-tested, maintainable code and improving test coverage across the codebase
• Providing thoughtful code reviews and helping lift the standard across the team
• Contributing to the Android app over time (no prior Android experience required - just a willingness to learn)

What you'll bring

• Solid commercial experience building iOS apps with Swift and SwiftUI
• Strong grasp of the fundamentals of mobile development
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
• A genuine care for clean, maintainable code and good software/product design
• Excellent communication and a collaborative, team-first approach
• Curiosity and empathy for the end user - you consider the impact of what you build

Nice to have

• Exposure to Kotlin Multiplatform or Android development
• Experience in fintech, payments or another domain where quality really matters
• Any experience with hybrid apps, Ruby on Rails or React

A few important things to know

This is a fully in-office role - 5 days a week in the Sydney CBD. The team works best in person and that's by design.

You must be Sydney-based with full working rights. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
