Mutual Trust is seeking a Senior Investment Analyst - Property to join our Investment Solutions team in Melbourne or Sydney. You will identify, evaluate and recommend property investments across listed and unlisted vehicles, shaping strategy and influencing portfolio construction.

You will lead research, perform due diligence and collaborate with the Head of Investment Solutions and Wealth team to deliver insights and sound investment judgement across domestic and global markets.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience in property investment research or related analysis.
• Experience researching listed and/or unlisted property investments (funds, REITs, ETFs).
• Strong analytical skills with understanding of performance, valuation, portfolio construction and risk.

Senior Investment Analyst - Property

Location: Melbourne or Sydney

The Opportunity

Join Mutual Trust's Investment Solutions team in a senior role offering the opportunity to shape property investment strategy and influence investment decisions for some of Australia's most successful families.

As Senior Investment Analyst, you'll play a key role in identifying, evaluating and recommending property investment opportunities across domestic and global markets, spanning listed and unlisted property funds, syndicates, ETFs and select A-REITs.

Working closely with the Head of Investment Solutions, you'll have the autonomy to develop your own investment views, lead research across the Property asset class and contribute directly to portfolio construction and investment decisions.

This opportunity will appeal to an experienced investment professional who enjoys getting into the detail, challenging assumptions and applying sound investment judgement to identify compelling opportunities. You'll bring intellectual curiosity, analytical rigour and a genuine passion for property investment markets.

What You'll Do

• Lead research into Australian and global property investments across listed and unlisted markets.
• Identify and evaluate investment opportunities, bringing fresh insights and well-supported recommendations to the team.
• Shape investment decisions through research, analysis and contributions to portfolio construction.
• Build relationships with leading property investment managers and industry participants.
• Monitor existing investments, identifying emerging opportunities, risks and market developments.
• Work closely with the Head of Investment Solutions and broader Wealth team to deliver investment insights and continuously improve our research capability.

About You

You are an experienced investment professional with a strong understanding of property markets and a genuine interest in investment research. You are comfortable assessing complex investment structures, challenging assumptions and combining quantitative analysis with qualitative judgement to develop clear, well-supported recommendations.

You bring:

• At least five years' experience in property investment research, manager research or related investment analysis.
• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Experience researching listed and/or unlisted property investments, including funds, syndicates, REITs or ETFs.
• Strong analytical skills and an understanding of investment performance, valuation, portfolio construction and risk.
• Experience conducting investment research and due diligence, with the ability to develop well-reasoned recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills, sound judgement and attention to detail.
• A collaborative approach, intellectual curiosity and a genuine passion for investment markets.

CFA, CAIA or relevant postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded, along with experience supporting Approved Product Lists and investment governance processes.
