21h ago , from Weir Minerals Asia Pacific

We are a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future. We help our customers extract the resources the world needs more efficiently and more sustainably. Our planet’s future depends on the transition to renewable energy, and that transition can only happen with the metals and minerals our customers deliver. So, we work side by side with mines across the globe to move less rock, use less energy, use water wisely, and create less waste. Together, we drive the shift to smart, efficient, and more sustainable mining.

Make your impact

You’ll play a key role in solving real-world challenges. You’ll apply your skills to deliver results that matter whether that’s through engineering, planning or customer support. You’ll work with purpose, learn every day and help shape a more sustainable future.

What you’ll do
  • Inventory Planning & Execution: Execute inventory planning activities across APAC, initially focusing on Australia, converting regional policies into practical actions that balance customer service, working capital, and operational performance. Daily tasks include preparing forecasts, maintaining inventory parameters, and managing stock movement across multiple warehouses and product categories. Success means accurate, timely inventory plans and improved availability with controlled capital investment. Occasional travel between Artarmon headquarters and Eastern Creek distribution centre is expected during initial training and ongoing support.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyse inventory performance metrics such as turns, service levels, ageing, and slow-moving stock. Provide clear root cause analysis and actionable insights to stakeholders through standardised reports and dashboards, leveraging advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with supply chain, demand planning, procurement, manufacturing, sales, and finance teams to maintain effective inventory parameters, resolve MRP exceptions, and embed best practices. Build productive relationships across multiple locations and cultures.
  • Continuous Improvement & Governance: Lead initiatives to improve inventory processes, data quality, and controls. Support regional governance reviews and capability development. Act as a subject matter expert, providing coaching and guidance to planners and stakeholders.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
What you’ll bring
Must-haves:
  • Strong experience (around 5 years) in inventory or supply planning within complex, multi-site environments, preferably in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial equipment sectors.
  • Advanced Excel skills including formulas, lookups, and data analysis for planning and reporting purposes.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP, with experience in inventory management, forecasting, and replenishment.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound decisions autonomously.
Nice-to-haves:
  • Experience with Power BI for report and dashboard development, including data modelling and visualization.
  • Engineering or technically aligned educational background.
  • Familiarity with make-to-order and make-to-stock planning environments involving complex SKU portfolios.
  • APICS or equivalent professional certification.
  • Experience in mining, heavy machinery, agricultural machinery, or industrial equipment industries.
