Job summary

Randstad Australia is seeking an experienced Internal Communications Lead to own employee engagement across a multi-modal transport operator. The role focuses on clear storytelling for frontline staff and leadership audiences, balancing offices and depots in a dynamic environment.

You’ll craft messages for shift workers, coordinate town halls, and manage intranet and newsletters while partnering with senior leaders to ensure safety and transformation campaigns land effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or Journalism.
• 5+ years in internal communications, ideally in transport/industrial settings.
• Ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging copy for diverse frontline teams.
• Hands-on experience with modern internal comms tools (SharePoint, intranets, signage, EDM).

Responsibilities

• Drive the internal communications strategy across regional hubs, control centres, depots, and offices.
• Create punchy, accessible messages for shift-based staff via apps, signage, toolbox talks, and SMS.
• Translate milestones (e.g., zero-emission fleets, electrification, safety programs) into campaigns.
• Ghostwrite executive announcements and script quarterly town halls.
• Oversee intranet, newsletters, and campaign analytics to lift engagement.
