Job summary

Lion is seeking an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join the Risk and Audit team in our Sydney CBD office. You will execute internal audit projects under supervision, building relationships with stakeholders and leading testing and reporting activities.

The role requires strong knowledge of J-SOX/SOX, 4+ years in audit, and relevant accounting qualifications. This is a full-time, permanent position offering opportunities for growth within Lion's Assurance & IA function.

Qualifications

4+ years’ experience in an audit role from a Big 4 Consulting Firm or for a large consumer goods company in-house Internal Audit role.
Experience within J-SOX or SOX.
Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
An accounting qualification (CA/CPA/CIMA/ACCA).

Responsibilities

Draft internal audit planning memos, identifying potential business risks and areas of focus.
Coordinate and lead stakeholder walkthrough meetings.
Establish the internal audit testing plan and identify key controls.
Socialise findings and recommendations with control owners and Management.
Prepare internal audit reports.
Support the annual J-SOX compliance testing program leveraging financial controls knowledge and audit methodologies.
Assist in preparing audit committee reporting.
