Job summary

City of Gold Coast is seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to design, build and support integrations across internal systems, cloud platforms and third‑party applications. You’ll enable seamless data flow through APIs, middleware, and modern integration patterns, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and high‑performing.

We value hands‑on Azure Integration Services expertise, enterprise integration experience, and strong problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Certification in Azure, cloud or integration technologies (desirable).
• Extensive experience supporting, maintaining and enhancing enterprise integration solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Integration Services including Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management and Service Bus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support integrations across internal systems, cloud platforms and third-party applications.
• Enable secure, scalable data flow through APIs, middleware and modern integration patterns.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve complex integration issues and optimise existing integrations.

• Salary: From $111,401 - $ 117,924 per annum plus Superannuation

We're entering a new chapter for the Chief Technology Office at the City of Gold Coast as we deliver bold, future-focused solutions. About the role

As a Senior Integration Engineer, you’ll design, build, and support integrations across internal systems, cloud platforms, and third‑party applications. You’ll play a key role in enabling seamless data flow through APIs, middleware, and modern integration patterns ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and high‑performing.

We’re looking for people who have:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Relevant certification in Azure, cloud or integration technologies (desirable)
• Extensive experience supporting, maintaining and enhancing enterprise integration solutions
• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Integration Services, including Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management (APIM) and Service Bus
• Experience working with enterprise systems, APIs, middleware, messaging and data exchange processes
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve complex integration issues and optimise existing integrations
• Experience with integration monitoring, production support, incident and problem management
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
• Experience with ITIL/service management practices
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder management skills
