Job summary

Fusion5 is seeking a Senior Integration Developer for a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover in Australia’s Data & Integration team. You’ll lead hands-on design and delivery across MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services and messaging platforms in complex customer environments.

You’ll provide senior technical guidance, implement API-led integration, and help migrate to modern iPaaS/cloud services while maintaining quality and governance standards.

Qualifications

• Significant enterprise integration delivery experience across middleware and iPaaS.
• Hands-on MuleSoft design, development and delivery in customer environments.
• Experience with Azure Integration Services, Dell Boomi and Workato.
• API-led, event-driven and messaging-based integration design experience.
• Strong REST, middleware patterns and distributed systems knowledge.
• Structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis ability.
• Proficiency with Maven, Jenkins, Git and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support end-to-end integration solutions across MuleSoft and Azure Integration Services.
• Contribute to solution design, requirements analysis, interface patterns and deployment.
• Build and integrate APIs, REST services and middleware with Salesforce, SAP and cloud services.
• Develop messaging-based solutions using Solace, Azure Service Bus and Kafka.
• Cover full delivery lifecycle from requirements to production support.
• Assist migration from legacy middleware to modern iPaaS and cloud integration services.
• Provide senior technical guidance to project teams and customers.

We're now looking for a Senior Integration Developer to join our Australian Data & Integration team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract, with potential to extend. This role is suited to a proven integration specialist who can step confidently into complex customer environments, contribute hands‑on to delivery, and provide senior technical guidance across enterprise application integration, modern iPaaS platforms and messaging‑based architecture.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll contribute to the design, build and support of end‑to‑end integration solutions while helping maintain high standards across delivery quality, platform reliability and technical governance. You will:

• Design, develop and support enterprise integration solutions across MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services and related iPaaS/middleware platforms
• Contribute to end‑to‑end solution design, including analysis of integration requirements, system constraints, interface patterns and deployment approach
• Build and integrate APIs, REST web services and middleware services across systems such as Salesforce, SAP, Amazon S3 and Azure services
• Develop and support messaging‑based solutions using technologies such as Solace, Azure Service Bus and Kafka.
• Work across the full delivery lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design through build, test, deployment and production support
• Support migration and uplift from legacy middleware platforms to modern iPaaS and cloud integration services
• Help assess existing integration platform capability and contribute practical recommendations for improvement
• Diagnosing and resolving complex integration issues using structured troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis
• Apply disciplined development, version control, deployment and release practices using tools such as Maven, Jenkins and Git
• Provide senior technical guidance to project teams and customers, bringing calm, pragmatic problem‑solving to complex delivery environments

What You'll Bring

This role suits someone with strong senior integration delivery experience, practical consulting judgement, and the confidence to work across multiple platforms and customer industries. You're likely to bring:

• Significant experience in enterprise application integration, middleware and iPaaS delivery
• Strong hands‑on experience with MuleSoft, including integration design, development and delivery in customer environments
• Experience across additional integration technologies such as Azure Integration Services, Dell Boomi and Workato.
• Practical experience designing and developing API‑led, event‑driven and messaging‑based integration solutions
• Strong understanding of REST web services, middleware patterns, distributed systems and integration architecture principles
• Strong troubleshooting capability, with proven analytical skills and a structured approach to resolving complex production and delivery issues
• Knowledge of deployment and engineering practices using Maven, Jenkins, Git and related delivery tooling
• Ability to provide technical guidance in a consulting environment, balancing quality, customer outcomes and delivery pragmatism
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Software Development, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Relevant certifications such as MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect, MuleSoft Certified Developer and Azure Integration Services certifications
