Job summary
WaterNSW is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Control Electrician to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The role supports essential water infrastructure across a diverse network of remote sites, including Leeton, Orange and Tumut NSW.
The position offers hybrid work and a salary starting from AUD 116,904 with 12% super and allowances. You will configure, maintain and improve field-based instrumentation and automation, diagnose issues, and ensure compliant, safe operations
Qualifications
- Experience across instrumentation, control systems and associated electrical equipment.
- Hands-on fault finding from SCADA to field instrumentation.
- Strong PLC programming and field controller skills.
Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain and improve field-based instrumentation, automation and control systems (SCADA, telemetry, networks, power, site controllers).
- Diagnose and rectify electrical/automation issues to minimise downtime and ensure availability.
- Provide site-based advice for planning, design, testing, and security of automation systems.
- Plan, procure and coordinate instrumentation and control works with contractors.
