Job summary

Teneo sits within the Company and Personal Insolvency (CPI) Team, a specialist sub-team within Australian restructuring and insolvency. The Consultant/Senior Consultant role involves day-to-day management of insolvency appointments, statutory compliance, investigations, and stakeholder communications within the Australian framework.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of insolvency experience in a specialist insolvency practice or accounting firm.
• Familiarity with case management systems such as IPS.
• Understanding lifecycle of corporate and personal insolvency appointments.
• Knowledge of statutory requirements, reporting obligations and deadlines under Australian insolvency framework.
• Strong written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with day-to-day administration of corporate and personal insolvency appointments.
• Supporting managers, directors and appointees with case strategy and progression of matters.
• Maintaining accurate case files and updating case checklists and diaries.
• Preparing and reviewing statutory lodgements with ASIC and the ATO.
• Monitoring statutory deadlines under the Corporations Act 2001, Bankruptcy Act 1966 and other legislation.
• Preparing reports to creditors and other stakeholders, including progress reports and statements.
• Liaising with directors, insolvent individuals, creditors, solicitors and external stakeholders.
• Supervising offshore staff and providing ongoing site support for trading administrations.
• Conducting statutory searches and reviewing financial records to support investigations and asset realisation.
