Job summary

Teneo is seeking a Consultant / Senior Consultant for its Company and Personal Insolvency (CPI) Team in Australia. You will help manage corporate and personal insolvency appointments, ensure statutory compliance, and communicate with creditors and stakeholders.

The role offers exposure to case administration, reporting, asset realisation and regulatory requirements within the Australian insolvency framework.

Qualifications

• 6 months plus of insolvency experience in a specialist practice or accounting firm.
• Experience with case management systems such as IPS or similar.
• Understanding lifecycle of corporate and personal insolvency appointments.
• Familiarity with statutory requirements, reporting obligations and deadlines under Australian insolvency framework.

Responsibilities

• Case Administration and Compliance: assist day-to-day administration of insolvency appointments; support managers with case strategy; maintain case files; update checklists and diaries; prepare and review statutory lodgements with ASIC and ATO; monitor statutory deadlines.
• Reporting and Stakeholder Communication: prepare creditor reports, progress statements; draft updates to secured creditors; respond to creditor queries; liaise with directors, creditors, solicitors and other stakeholders.
• Broader Support and Team Contribution: site attendance to support trading of businesses; supervise offshore staff; provide regular updates to Insolvency Practitioners and managers; ensure regulatory standards are reflected in all work.
• Financial, Investigative and Asset Realisation Work: conduct statutory searches; assist investigations into antecedent or voidable transactions; support asset identification and distributions; prepare cashflows and estimated outcome statements.
