Job summary

The Andersen Partnership in Melbourne CBD is seeking a Senior Insolvency Accountant to join the team. You will work across corporate insolvency appointments, take ownership of engagements and collaborate with experienced senior practitioners.

Ideal for you with 2+ years in insolvency and restructuring, strong knowledge of processes and legislation, and excellent communication. CA/CPA studies are highly regarded. This role offers exposure, development and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in insolvency and restructuring
• Exposure to a range of corporate insolvency appointments
• Strong technical knowledge of insolvency processes and relevant legislation
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities and take ownership of your work
• A proactive approach and a genuine interest in continuing to develop your insolvency career
• CA/CPA studies completed or in progress will be highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Managing and progressing a variety of corporate insolvency appointments
• Working across CVLs, VAs, receiverships, liquidations, SBRs and other restructuring engagements
• Conducting investigations into company affairs, assets and financial records
• Preparing reports to creditors, statutory documentation and other appointment‑related deliverables
• Liaising with directors, creditors, solicitors and other key stakeholders
• Assisting with asset realisations, recoveries and the progression of complex matters
• Supporting junior team members and contributing to the successful delivery of engagements
