Job summary

Hall Chadwick in Melbourne seeks enthusiastic graduates with degrees in Business, Finance, or Accounting to join our Insolvency teams. You will gain hands-on experience across core accounting and advisory services, working on insolvency engagements and corporate finance activities.

You'll collaborate with Managers and Partners on real client work and be supported toward professional qualifications such as CA or CPA.

Qualifications

• Graduates with degrees in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
• Willingness to learn and grow in insolvency and advisory services.
• Interest in CA/CPA pathways and professional qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration of insolvency appointments (liquidations, administrations, receiverships, bankruptcies).
• Prepare statutory reports, filings, and correspondence with regulators.
• Conduct investigations into company affairs and financial records for recoveries.
• Liaise with directors, creditors, employees, financiers, lawyers and government bodies.
• Support in asset realisation, creditor distributions, and claims adjudications.
• Maintain case files and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist senior staff with stakeholder meetings and court processes.
• Analyse financial information and prepare summaries and recommendations.

The Role

We are seeking enthusiastic graduates in Melbourne with degrees in Business, Finance, or Accounting to join our Insolvency teams.

The roles offer hands-on experience across core accounting and advisory services, with opportunities to gain exposure to:

• Insolvency & restructuring engagements, including business turnaround, recovery work and personal insolvency. Corporate Transactions, such as financial analysis, due diligence, and transaction support.
• You'll work closely with Managers and Partners on real client work and be supported toward professional qualifications such as CA or CPA.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist with the administration of formal insolvency appointments (e.g. liquidations, administrations, receiverships, bankruptcies).
• Prepare statutory reports, correspondence, and filings with relevant regulatory bodies.
• Conduct investigations into company affairs, financial records, and potential recoveries.
• Liaise with directors, creditors, employees, financiers, lawyers, and government agencies.
• Assist in asset realisation, creditor distributions, and claim adjudications.
• Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Support senior staff with stakeholder meetings, creditor communications, and court processes
• Analyse financial information and prepare summaries and recommendations.
• Identify potential recovery actions and assist with litigation or enforcement matters.

About You

• Business, Finance, or an Accounting degree.
• Interest in advisory, insolvency or corporate finance.
• Studying towards or holding a professional qualification CA or CPA.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Confident communicator and team player.
