Job summary

Whizdom in Canberra seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement and retire infrastructure across physical, virtual, networking and cloud environments. You will provide technical leadership, manage VSE environments, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable services.

The role requires hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortigate and F5 Networks, strong incident and problem management, and the ability to coordinate with service providers.

Qualifications

• Experience with security frameworks such as PSPF/ISM.
• Ability to manage and resolve infrastructure problems.
• Expertise in designing large/complex systems and balancing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and deliverables across projects.
• Maintain, monitor and upgrade VSE environments and servers.
• Plan, design, develop and test new virtual service developments with stakeholders.
• Configure and deploy virtual services and servers per operating models.
• Lead analysis, planning, execution and performance improvements.
• Promote adoption of virtual services to ICT stakeholders and project teams.
• Support project teams in maintaining virtual service environments.
