Job summary

Corrections Victoria Community Corrections – Geelong VIC is seeking a Senior Industry Officer to lead prisoner industry activities at Marngoneet Correctional Centre. The role focuses on managing and delivering training and production targets while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Bakery or demonstrated relevant work history is highly desirable.
• Ability to work as part of a team to monitor and achieve targets in a complex trade or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team to achieve Marngoneet Centre Industry targets, stock control, and production records.
• Ensure safety and security of prisoners, staff and visitors in line with OH&S and security procedures.
• Collaborate across prison industry operations including training, case management, and program knowledge.
• Deliver performance management targets and pursue professional development within OH&S, QA, monitoring and record-keeping procedures.
• Participate in offender management practices and contribute to new initiatives and reports to supervisors.
