Job summary

The Queensland Government seeks an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Safety and Engagement Senior Advisor to promote respectful, inclusive workplaces and ensure a culturally safe environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees.

You will provide expert guidance to employees and leaders, support supervision and peer networks, and collaborate with executive teams to enhance retention, wellbeing and professional development while upholding confidentiality and ethical

Qualifications

• Requires Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status as genuine occupational requirement.

Responsibilities

• Promote cultural safety and inclusivity across the department to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees.
• Provide expert advice to employees and leaders to create and sustain culturally safe workplaces.
• Facilitate access to culturally appropriate supervision, mentoring and peer support networks.
• Collaborate with executive teams to develop and implement practices enhancing retention, wellbeing and engagement.
• Promote understanding of Cultural Safety Policy and related frameworks and contribute to workplace plans.
