Job summary

Grant Thornton Australia is expanding its incident response capability and seeking a commercially astute Senior Manager to lead on the ground. You will guide end-to-end client incident response engagements, coordinate with executives, insurers and third parties, and mentor a team of specialists across forensics, threat intelligence and hunting.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading cyber security incident response.
• Hands-on depth across incident management, digital forensics, threat intelligence and threat hunting.
• Experience with platforms and tooling behind modern detection and response.
• Strong understanding of incident response frameworks and Australian regulatory breach obligations.
• Track record of leading and developing teams; experience with executives, legal counsel, insurers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead client incident response engagements end to end from triage to recovery and post‑incident review.
• Act as incident lead and escalation point for major client incidents, coordinating across client teams and third parties.
• Work with client executives and crisis management teams aligning response with business continuity.
• Lead and mentor a team of incident response specialists across digital forensics, threat intelligence and threat hunting.
• Manage investigations with proper staffing and documentation; ensure adherence to processes and frameworks.
• Prepare and review technical reports and executive summaries for boards and executives.
