Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior Incident Response Consultant to deliver reactive and proactive services across the APJ region. This remote role supports organisations in Australia, New Zealand, and surrounding markets, requiring hands-on expertise and mentorship of junior staff in high‑pressure incidents.

You will lead incident response engagements, perform host and network forensics, advise on threat activity, and communicate findings to executives.

Qualifications

• Incident Response: experience conducting or managing incident response investigations for organisations, investigating targeted threats such as the Advanced Persistent Threat, Organized Crime, and Hacktivists.
• Computer Forensic Analysis: a background using a variety of forensic analysis tools in incident response investigations to determine the extent and scope of compromise.
• Network Forensic Analysis: strong knowledge of network protocols, network analysis tools, and ability to perform analysis of associated network logs.
• Incident Remediation: deep understanding of targeted attacks and able to create customized tactical and strategic remediation plans for compromised organisations.
• Threat Intelligence: familiarity with threat intelligence, adversary attribution and its application to Incident response.
• Communication: exceptional written and oral communication skills. Ability to write and present technical content, including being able to present to senior executives.
• Qualifications: following certifications preferred but not required GIAC Certified Forensics Analyst (GCFA), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) or similar.
• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident response engagements.
• Perform advanced host and/or network-based forensics across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.
• Advise organisations while they respond to threat actor activity.
• Produce high-quality written and verbal reports, presentations, recommendations, and findings to customer management.
• Present technical material to non-technical and technical audiences.
• Demonstrate industry thought leadership through blog posts, CrowdCasts, and other public speaking events.
