Job summary

Optus is seeking a Senior Incident Responder to join its Cyber Defence Operations team in Australia. You will lead major cyber security incident responses, coordinate containment and recovery, and perform advanced digital forensics across multiple environments.

You will own communications to leadership, legal, and impacted business teams while guiding readiness activities and tooling improvements. Applicants should have GCFA/GREM/GNFA/GCIH and broad incident handling experience.

Qualifications

Extensive incident response and digital forensics experience.
Proven lead experience on major security incidents with cross-team coordination.
Deep expertise across endpoints, memory, networks, identities and cloud.
Strong evidence handling and regulatory knowledge.
Proficient in SIEM/XDR/EDR and log analysis tools.

Responsibilities

Lead responses to major cyber security incidents as incident commander.
Direct containment, eradication, and recovery across teams and stakeholders.
Perform advanced digital forensic investigations across host, memory, network, identity and cloud.
