Azooa Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior ILS Manager Project Officer to support the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD). The role focuses onIntegrated Logistics Support for ISR mission systems and project delivery responsibilities within Defence environments.

You will coordinate sustainment activities, collaborate with engineering and operations, and contribute to governance processes while ensuring operational readiness across lifecycle stages.

Formación

• 3-5 years minimum experience required.
• Experience sustaining aviation/ISR or mission-critical systems.
• Degree in Engineering, ICT supply chain or related field.
• Demonstrable experience developing/applying ILS or sustainment programs for complex systems.
• Strong organisational skills; ability to manage priorities and stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse supportability data and identify risks affecting sustainment.
• Experience creating acquisition and support documentation per Defence policies.
• Experience supporting Defence projects (RAAF/ISR) environments.
• Familiarity with Defence sustainment frameworks and regulatory requirements.

About the opportunity

Azooa is preparing a response for a Senior ILS Manager Project Officer opportunity supporting the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD).

This role requires an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) professional who will also undertake project management tasks. You will coordinate sustainment activities that support the operational readiness of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission systems, while contributing to project delivery and Project, Program or Portfolio Office operations.

ASD is a statutory agency within the Defence portfolio, delivering foreign signals intelligence, cyber security and offensive cyber operations as directed by the Australian Government.

Responsibilities and deliverables

• Plan and coordinate ILS activities under general direction to enable the sustainment and operational readiness of ISR mission systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and project teams to translate system requirements into effective sustainment and support solutions across the lifecycle.
• Analyse and report on sustainment performance, including availability, reliability, maintainability and lifecycle costs, to inform decisions and improve system outcomes.
• Support sustainment reviews, design gate reviews and approval boards, ensuring logistics considerations are integrated into governance and decision-making.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, influence support outcomes and coordinate contributions from service providers.
• Contribute to project delivery and the operation of a Project, Program or Portfolio Office.

Essential experience and qualifications

• The RFQ specifies "3-5 years' minimum experience".
• Experience supporting or contributing to sustainment activities for aviation, ISR or mission-critical systems.
• A degree in Engineering, ICT supply chain or a related discipline.
• Demonstrable experience developing and applying ILS or sustainment programs for complex systems.
• Strong organisational skills, including managing competing priorities, schedules and stakeholder demands.
• Ability to analyse supportability data and identify risks or issues affecting system sustainment.
• Experience creating acquisition and support documentation in accordance with Defence policies and frameworks.
• Experience supporting RAAF or ISR platform projects within Defence environments.
• Familiarity with Defence sustainment frameworks and regulatory requirements.

Security and suitability

The role-specific job details require candidates to hold a current TSPV security clearance.

Suitable candidates must complete ASD's Organisation Suitability Assessment before commencement.

Working arrangements

This is an onsite opportunity. Specific arrangements are determined by the assigned work area and operational needs; not all ASD work areas can accommodate working from home.

ASD will allocate successful candidates to work areas according to operational needs. If no immediate business requirement is identified, suitable candidates may be placed in a merit pool.
