Job summary

STACK Infrastructure APAC seeks an experienced Senior ICT Server Infrastructure Project Engineer to lead design, deployment, commissioning and handover of server/storage/virtualisation infra for new data centre projects.

You will report to the Senior Manager, ICT Engineering, and work in a delivery-focused role requiring hands-on expertise with server hardware, SAN/NAS storage, virtualization and clustered platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, IT or CS.
• 5+ years in a System Integrator delivering server, storage and virtualization infra.
• Hands-on knowledge of server hardware (Dell, HPE, Cisco, Lenovo) and out-of-band mgmt.
• Strong SAN/NAS with NetApp ONTAP and/or Pure Storage experience.
• VMWare and Hyper-V virtualization with clustering/HA/DRS/vMotion.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, commissioning and handover of server/storage/virtualisation infra.
• Support design of highly available, fault-tolerant platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, SAN/NAS).
• Create sizing, BOMs, rack elevations, cables/port schedules for data centre builds.
• Coordinate with ICT vendors to meet project timelines.
• Develop and execute test scripts for testing, commissioning and validation.

Summary/Objective

STACK is seeking an experienced Senior ICT Server Infrastructure Project Engineer to lead the design, deployment, commissioning and operational handover of highly available server, storage and virtualisation infrastructure for new data centre projects. Reporting to the Senior Manager, ICT Engineering, this delivery-focused role requires strong System Integrator project experience and hands‑on expertise in server hardware, SAN/NAS storage, virtualisation and clustered platforms.

Key Responsibility

Support the OT Engineering team to design highly available, fault‑tolerant platforms, including VMware vSphere clusters, Microsoft Hyper‑V failover clusters, and SAN/NAS storage layouts.

Work closely with the OT Engineering team to produce compute and storage sizing calculations, hardware Bills of Materials, rack elevations, and cabling/port schedules for server, storage and virtualisation builds for new project tenders.

Manage and coordinate with ICT vendors to ensure the intended server, storage and virtualisation design for the campus is successfully deployed to meet project timelines.

Develop and execute test scripts for server, storage and virtualisation infrastructure Testing & Commissioning, including HA/failover, replication, backup/restore and performance validation.

Oversee the transition and successful handover of Network, Server and Storage services to operations and support teams.

Qualification and required technical and working experience

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science.

At least five years of hands‑on experience within a System Integrator project‑delivery team, delivering successful implementations of server, storage and virtualisation infrastructure for data centres or large, complex IT infrastructure projects.

Strong hands‑on knowledge of server hardware architecture, including Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Cisco UCS or Lenovo, and out‑of‑band management.

Core skills in enterprise SAN/NAS storage arrays, with hands‑on experience across NetApp ONTAP and/or Pure Storage FlashArray.

Strong virtualisation skills across VMware and Microsoft Hyper‑V, including clustering, HA, DRS, vMotion, Live Migration and Hyper‑V Replica.
