Job summary

STACK Infrastructure in Melbourne seeks a Senior ICT Server Infrastructure Project Engineer to lead the design, deployment, commissioning and handover of highly available server, storage and virtualization infrastructure for new data centre projects.

You will work with the OT Engineering team to size compute/storage, prepare BOMs, rack elevations and cabling plans, and coordinate with vendors to meet project timelines and successful handover to operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, IT or CS.
At least five years in a System Integrator project-delivery role delivering server/storage/virtualisation infra.
Experience with VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, clustering and HA.

Responsibilities

Design highly available server, storage and virtualisation platforms for data-centre projects.
Produce compute and storage sizing calculations, BOMs, rack elevations, cabling schedules.
Coordinate with ICT vendors to deploy the intended infrastructure on time.
Develop and execute test scripts for server, storage and virtualisation testing and commissioning.
Oversee handover of services to operations and support teams.
