Job summary

The Department of Finance (Australian Government) is seeking a Senior ICT Procurement & Contracts Officer to lead the centralised CPT. You will handle high-volume ICT procurement and contract management, engaging with ICT vendors to ensure value for money and compliant practices.

Based in Canberra, the role supports the CPT in delivering centrally managed ICT labour hire and procurement and reports to EL2 leadership.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supporting the EL2 in leading the CPT by delegating the team’s high-volume BAU ICT procurement and contract management requests.
• Providing tailored advice for ICT procurement and contract scenarios using the CPRs.
• Supervising activities to meet procurement and contractual governance goals and offering clear advisory input.
• Driving complex and concurrent procurement activities for internal stakeholders.
• Drafting procurement artefacts such as contracts, statements of requirements, procurement plans, and evaluation reports.
• Participating in complex evaluation processes.
• Maintaining satisfactory service levels for the central procurement function.
• Managing a small team and supporting development and overall team contribution.
• Resolving complex procurement and contract queries and identifying risks and issues.
• Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
