Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to contribute technical and design input across projects within its Building Services Project Department in Australia. The role involves client consultations and leading multidisciplinary projects across commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical services degree, 5+ years of local experience, and familiarity with Australian standards. Revit experience is a plus, and strong time management is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Services or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution.
• Minimum five years of local Australian experience in a similar role.
• Understanding of Australian standards in relation to mechanical engineering design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience would be an advantage).
• Ability to work independently and manage own project portfolio.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills, and an ability to work to agreed deadlines.
• Excellent client communication and liaison skills and an ability to convey information accurately.
• Registered building practitioner or/and Chartered professional engineer status would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide Hydraulic Services, including technical and design input to projects
• Consult with clients on matters relating to engineering services
• Lead projects representing all disciplines
• Work on Commercial, residential, retail, local government, office fitout, and industrial projects
