Job summary

The Business Agility Group is seeking experienced Mainframe System Programmers for a long-term assignment in Australia. The role blends onsite and remote work, with preference for candidates based in Australia, ideally Melbourne.

You’ll contribute to security hardening, system support and migrations across the mainframe stack. Key requirements include 15+ years of Mainframe programming, RACF security expertise, and strong JCL/ISPF/TSO skills.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of Mainframe Systems Programming experience.
• RACF security knowledge (5+ years).
• HLASM programming and ability to teach others is advantageous.
• Familiarity with JCL, ISPF, SDSF, TSO, REXX.
• SAS or similar programming knowledge advantageous.
• Experience in Python or HLASM is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide design, development, delivery and maintenance of Mainframe solutions.
• Focus on Mainframe security hardening, remediation and access controls.
• Mentor staff and support migrations and replacements.
• Support audits and risk-management activities.
